Description: The artwork is a reinterpretation of a part of Master Farshchian’s “Chogan” (Polo), skillfully executed by Master Natasha Gholamhosseini. It has been brought to perfection by the exquisite illumination (Tazhib) of Banu Atiyeh Kazemi. The perimeter of the illumination circle has also been adorned with various art forms by the skilled hand of Mehdi Hajizadeh. In this section of the artwork, techniques such as Mo’arragh (Persian Marquetry), Meshabbak (Openwork/Perforation), Gol-o-Morgh (Flower and Bird painting), calligraphy, and Layeh-Chini (Layering) have been employed. For the first time in the art of Soukht-e Charm (Leather Marionette/Embossing), reverse painting on glass (Poosh-e Shisheh) has also been utilized. As is evident, the themes, forms, and coloring of the borders have all been conceived with consideration to the central composition. The illumination of this piece features a Shamseh (Sunburst medallion) with a 1/32nd repetition pattern (Vagireh), adorned with Khatayi floral motifs. The entire work was executed using Master Jahangir’s cat-hair brush, with ink and high-carat yellow and white gold. The geometric strapwork (Gereh-chini) and borders consist of a seven-line (Haft-Mostari) geometric pattern, a chain border, and a three-line (Seh-Mostari) pattern, embellished with pin-shaped ornaments (Sanjagh-Neshan).
