Biography
Abdolrahim Isfahani, called “Afsar” is a poet and calligrapher and contemporary with Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar in the thirteenth century AH in Isfahan. Some of his artworks are as follows. Script, poem and tile inscription on the entrance of Mohammad Jafarabadeh’s Takiyyeh, next to Rokn Al Molk Mosque in Takht-e-Foulad, Isfahan. The tiled inscription around the entrance of Takiyyeh Dowlat in Isfahan and a calligraphy work of Jahan-Gosha Atamolk Jovini with nas’taliq script and jali scribe form with the artist signature (Ragham) and date kept in the Istanbul library. Abdulrahim Afsar passed away in 1936. His son, Fathullah, also followed his father.
