Biography
Akbar Mesripour, born in 1944 in Isfahan, is one of the leading artists of Iranian painting, traditional drawing, inlay and lattice of wood, metal, and tile. In 2001, he received the first A class artistic degree from the Artists Evaluation Council of Iran. After
passing the Persian painting course under the supervision of some professors such as Javad Rostam Shirazi and Javad Eftekari, he started teaching at the art school. Among his works of art are the design of the dome of Imam-Zadeh Jafar Ibn-e Reza, the design of the tomb of three companions of the prophet Mohammad in the Syrian shrine, the design of the shrine of Hazrat-e Roqayeh and many other tile designs of religious centers in Iran and Oman.
