Biography
Esmaiel Shiran, born in 1937 in Isfahan. since his childhood and entering to the pottery profession, he has worked under the supervision of Qolam Hossein Qomi, Haj Seyyed Hossein Mousavizadeh, Haj Mirza Abbas Ilya, Seyyed Abbas Zofan and and Qolam Hossein Esfahani. He has experienced so many trial and errors that led to the invention of “Qaz Meqazy” or luster ware glaze. He also preserved many pottery products with the luster ware technique.
