Biography
Mohammad Hossein Mussavir al-Molki was born in 1890 in Isfahan. Since he was 15 years old, he followed his father in making pen box (Qalamdan). Then he learned gilding and oil painting. He won the prize of the Brussels World’s Fair because of his painting of Persepolis in which, in addition to the great building of Persepolis, four thousand figure were depicted. The Queen of England presented him the King George V Coronation Medal. Former British Prime Minister Churchill, US President Roosevelt, Chinese President Chiang Kai-shek and other international dignitaries have praised him. He passed away in 1977.
