Biography
Amir Houshang Jazizadeh, born in 1933 in Isfahan, is one of the most prominent miniaturists and contemporary rug designers. From the age of seven, he learned art from Mahmoud Tahzibi and Javad Rostam Shirazi. In 1949, he entered the Isfahan School of Fine Arts and passed the Iranian painting courses. After that, he took a postgraduate course in ceramic design in England. He has the first-class degree in art in the field of miniature, the silver medal of the Brussels Exhibition, the medal of the Algerian government and the diploma of the Asian European Art Biennial of Turkey. His works have been exhibited in Buckingham Palace in London, the Royal Palace in Belgium, the Royal Palace in Finland and the National Museum of Art in Iran.
